2022 KY Legislative Scorecard 2021-

The following scorecard lists several key votes in the Kentucky General Assembly in 2021 and 2022 and ranks state representatives and senators based on their fidelity to (U.S.) constitutional and limited-government principles.

This is our first state-level Scorecard; the selected votes may not be reflective of legislators' overall records. Their cumulative scores will change as we add more votes. Please check regularly for updates.

Senate Votes

1. Reopening the Economy

Allowed businesses to reopen and restored Kentuckian rights after COVID-19 lockdowns.

2. COVID-19 Policy

Prohibits the governor from creating a statewide mask mandate and prohibits healthcare facilities from requiring vaccinations of employees.

3. Vaccine Mandates

Provides exemptions from mandatory immunization for any child, emancipated minor, or adult who, personally or by a parent or guardian.

4. Elections

Expands the state's early voting, lets people fix their own ballot issues, and allows drop boxes for people to submit their absentee ballots.

5. Broadband Fund

Appropriates Federal Funds from the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 in the amount of $127,000,000 and Federal Funds from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 in the amount of $123,000,000 to the broadband deployment fund.

6. Women's Sports
